Dentures & Bridges
Missing teeth don’t mean that you have to say goodbye to a confident smile.
At Trinity Oaks Family Dentistry and Orthodontics, we can help you with natural-looking replacement teeth when you need them. The first option you may consider is dentures. There are two types of dentures: full and partial.
- Full Dentures are given to patients when all of the natural teeth have been removed. Conventional full dentures are placed after the gum tissue has healed, which can take several months. Immediate full dentures are placed immediately after the teeth have been removed and may require frequent adjustments during the first couple of months of use.
- Partial Dentures consist of fake teeth attached to either an acrylic (gum color) base or a metal frame that fits in between your natural teeth. They are used to fill in where permanent teeth have been removed and are considered a removable alternative to bridges.
A dental bridge may also be used to replace missing teeth. This restorative option fills in gaps with artificial teeth and helps to maintain the shape of your face while alleviating stress on your bite. Your bridge can be made out of gold, alloys, porcelain, or a combination of these materials and is bonded onto surrounding teeth for support.
Whether it’s dentures or bridges, a beautiful smile is within reach for you.
